Since 2015, EOOS has stood for the contemporary side of the Carl Hansen & Søn collection. Inspired by the existing tables, chairs and benches from the Embrace series, the designer trio presents the Embrace Outdoor series. This seamlessly extends the unparalleled experience of comfort and relaxation to outdoor spaces. EOOS continued the exploration of perfection and imperfection with the E008 Embrace Outdoor Dining Chair, in a design that is echoed by the EOO5 Embrace Armchair. The designer trio set out to create a new typology for outdoor furniture that offers an indoor dining experience.

A soft upholstered cushion envelops the FSC-certified™ teak frame with high-quality workmanship. This cladding forms an elegant contrast with the sleek, sleek woodwork. The removable cushion in durable, weather-resistant fabric offers versatility in use and appearance. This gives the untreated patina of teak a more prominent role and makes the craftsmanship of the finger joints in the armrests and the half-timbered construction under the seat visible. Additionally, the E008 Embrace Outdoor Dining Chair can be stacked for storage and matches the E022 Embrace Dining Table.

  • EOOS

Established in Vienna, the EOOS trio is comprised by Gernot Bohmann, Harald Gründl and Martin Bergmann. Founded in a strong sense of modern aesthetics, EOOS operates in the fields of furniture and product design as well as shop design for clients such as Giorgio Armani, Adidas, Alessi, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and bulthaup. The design trio considers design a poetic discipline whose end result should always be able to accommodate the user's changing needs and desires. EOOS approaches the often-complex design challenges by analyzing past roots and contemporary context. Termed 'Poetical Analysis', EOOS' process focuses on myths, rituals and intuitive expressions, creating connections that go beyond immediate impressions.
