Icelandic American Chuck Mack designed Arco, a desk where you put your stationery on display, and the rest is history. The trestles made us think of taking his idea further. So, we made table- and benchtops.
The benchtop is made in medium-density fibreboard with a veneer. Three small trestles are needed to support the benchtop. The benchtops works great as a TV-bench or as a decorative plant stand. Material: Trestles: Lacquered solid wood. Benchtop: Veneered MDF (ash/oak/black stained ash).
Chuck Mack is an American designer who is half-Icelandic, and currently lives and works in Reykjavik. A self-taught designer and carpenter, Chuck quotes Jack Kerouac to explain his design philosophy: “The best teacher is experience and not through someone’s distorted point of view”.
