Mario Ruiz

Mario Ruiz was born in Alicante (Spain) in 1965. He graduated BA Industrial Design at Elisava University in Barcellona. He started working as designer in 1988. In the beginning, his very technical-oriented education and his interest for the inside of products, brought him towards technological projects (televisions, phones, cars etc) and technical office furniture. In 2003, he reorganized his studio seeking for new creative solutions ans started therefore collaborations with companies in several fields: furniture, lightning, bath-furniture, architectural elements, office furniture, etc. Nowadays, Mario Ruis collaborates with companies from Europe and USA such as Siemens, Thomson, Gand?a Blasco, Metalarte, Steelcase, HBF, lapalma, Viccarbe, Citterio, Castelli. He has received several international awards like: IF, Red Dot e Design Plus.
