J81 dining table chair designed by Jørgen Bækmark
These are the small details that have made one of the most comfortable dining chairs even more comfortable.
When Jørgen Bækmark added an armrest to J81, big brother to J80, the result was both a more comfortable chair, but also with a natural continuation of the curved shape in the chair back. In addition, the chair is slightly wider than the J80, which of course also gives a little more comfort.
The design dates back to FDB Møblers golden age, but the proportions have been adjusted slightly, as the Danes on average are five to six centimeters higher today than they were in the 1960s. But otherwise the design appears to be then - and at the same time completely contemporary and current.
