Francesco Binfare
Francesco Binfare was born in 1939. After having achieved his artistic education under his
father's guide, he started working for Cassina in 1960. At first as a researcher
for new technologies then as Cesare Cassina's assistant for the new projects and
for the realisation of prototypes. From 1969 to 1976 he was the director of the
Centro Cassina and nursed the creation of the classics of design such as "Up 5"
by Gaetano Pesce (1969) and "AEO" by Paolo Deganello (1973).
