Stefano Mercato

Born on the island of Murano in 1953, Stefano Marcato graduated from college in restoration architecture of Venice in 1978. After having the opportunity to work with master Italian glassmaker, Lino Tagliapietra, Marcato developed his skills, which led him to specialize in the design of glass products. His professional activity has since been divided between the restoration of historic buildings (especially old Venetian palaces) and product design.
