A metallic rib chair with armrests, light and able to be piled up, for the company Mobles 114. Rib chairs have a great tradition at the coastline areas where the humidity destroys wood chairs.

The chair is inspired in the elegant Rambla de Catalunya, a beautiful avenue in the middle of the Example of Barcelona, where there is a central promenade taken up by quiet terraces.

Mobles 114 is a well-known Catalan business which has a rigorous compromise with the social and sustainable manufacture which produces with the collaboration of studios from the area of Barcelona.

Martin Azua

Martin Azua was born 1965. Graduate of Design and Fine Arts, University, Barcelona. Master in Architecture and Design of Ephemeral Exhibitions, Politechnic University, Barcelona. Resides in Barcelona where he combines design and teaching. He collaborates as designer for various companies and institutions, producing experimental and research works shown in several single or collective exhibitions in Barcelona, Milan, London, Berlin, Paris, Vienna and the MOMA in New York. He combines simplicity of design with the use of new materials and respect for the environment. Author of the World swimming Championship of Barcelona 2003 medals and the packaging of Olympic Games Madrid 2012 candidature. Awarded the Ciutat of Barcelona.
