Liuku Base, Drop Wood Pendant - no shade

The Mat er l iuku b a se pendant s is designed by Finnish designer Maija Puoskari. It is crafted in solid, FSC certified oak wood and stripped of excessive decoration, leaving focus on the simple design.

The LED light source is hidden in the drop - or ball-shaped - design, which is treated with matt lacquer.

The two shapes constitute the base of the Mater Liuku Pendant, with an additional glass shade.

Maija Puoskari

The Finnish designer Maija Puoskari graduated from the Aalto University of Helsinki in 2009. Before her design studies Puoskari had already graduated as a florist. Her background often draws inspiration from nature why her work is characterized by a strong sense of pure form mixed with functionality and precise finishing. She works widely with various design and exhibition projects. Puoskari has been awarded with several grands and prizes, and her work has been shown in many national and international collection exhibitions and fairs.
