You can probably tell that we are obsessed with spherical objects. In our perpetual quest for the purest forms, Globe stands out as the most minimal of the lot. A spherical orb, highly mirrored and perfectly reflective during the day, when switched on reveals a multiplicity of internal reflections from the integral LED.

Reminiscent of ancient witch balls, hollowed spheres of coloured glass which were used to ward off evil spirits, Globe is available in Chrome and chrome finishes in pendant form, as well as two floor lights.

Tom Dixon

Tom is a restless innovator who works mainly in lighting, accessories and furniture. From his departure point in the early eighties welding salvaged steel into radical furniture, he has constantly reinvented himself through a series of different design lives – working with luxury Italian goods with Cappellini, Creative Director at Habitat and Artek, creating Plastics company Eurolounge and finally instigating his own eponymous brand in 2002 to rethink the product designer’s relationship with industry.
