Inspired by a photographer’s use of light equipment, PODGY strives to create an accurate illumination that serves the needs of everyday life.‎ By combining several classic elements from Scandinavian design heritage with a refined expression focusing on composition and materiality Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen has put PODGY into a contemporary present.‎ Integral to PODGY is a honeycomb aluminium structure that casts a pleasingly diffuse light while also providing directed illumination.‎

The honeycomb array was originally used by photographers to generate a soft and controlled light in the studio.‎ The spherical dimmer on top of PODGY lets you adjust the density and intensity of light, besides changing the look and feel of the lamp, creating a playful interaction between the lamp and you.‎
