The Luna rug was designed by Verner Panton in 1979. Its organic pattern consists of 8 circles of yellow, gray or red hues, evoking the diffusion of the light emitted by the moon.
The Danish architect Verner Panton caused a stir in the 60ies and kept on designing successful products until his death in 1998. Times they were a-changin? - and Panton’s innovatory ideas and daring use of modern materials and lavish colours were an instant hit. Panton became synonymous with sensational textile, furniture and lighting design. Works like the ‘Cone Chair’ and the ‘Globe Light’ are eternal Scandinavian design icons!
